Privacy Policy

Couple Lock is made for two people. This page says exactly what leaves your phone, who can see it, and how to make it go away.

What we collect

• Your first name and your partner's first name, as you typed them.
• The messages you send: text, photos, voice notes, doodles, song picks and short videos. These are stored so your partner's phone can receive them.
• Game answers from the Play tab, so scores can be revealed to both of you.
• An anonymous account identifier. There is no email, password or phone number. Your invite code links your phone to your partner's.
• Your answers in onboarding (situation, hours on your phone, what you want more of, where you heard about us) and anonymous usage events, so we can improve the app.
• Purchase status, handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.

What we never collect

• Which apps you lock. Screen Time runs on your phone. Apple hides the app list from us by design, so we only ever know how many you picked.
• Your location, your contacts, or anything from the apps that are paused.

Who can see it

Only the two people in your couple. Every message, photo and answer is stored under your couple's code and protected by row level security, so no other account can read it. We do not sell or share your content with anyone, and we do not use it to train anything.

Where it lives

Content is stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, on servers in the United States. The daily prompts come from a library we write and curate ourselves; they are never generated from anything you send. If analytics are enabled in a future version, they go to Meta for advertising measurement only, and only after you allow tracking.

Deleting everything

Open the You tab and tap Delete my data. That removes your halves, your game rounds and your seat in the couple from our servers, and clears the app on your phone. If you were the last one in the couple, the couple goes too. Your partner's phone keeps whatever already arrived there. Deleting the app alone removes your phone's copy but not the server's, so use the You tab first if you want it all gone.

If you cannot get into the app, email kushal2001apple@gmail.com with your invite code and we will delete it within 7 days.

Children

Couple Lock is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you before it applies.
